With the addition of Google+, many people - including myself - have found that we have a lot more channels on our accounts than we want, or need.

But getting rid of them has been a bit of a problem, as we delete the Channel, but the name is still there. And every time we click on it, it wants to create a new channel.

So what can we do to get rid of these unwanted Channels so we have the Channels we want and nothing more?

Well help is at hand with this video...

Here I walk you through the steps to delete your Channel and everything else you need to, so those pesky little monkeys are gone forever...

So let's begin.

1:05 Select the Channel you want to delete from Switch account at the top right of the page.

1:30 Select My Channel from the top right to make sure you're on the right channel that you want to delete.

1:35 The next thing you need to do is to open up your Google+ Settings page. You do this by selecting Settings under the Google+ column on the top right, once again. Open this up in a new tab so you have it ready.

1:52 Click on YouTube Settings under the YouTube column on the top right.

2:00 Then click on Advanced which is under your Channel Name.

2:25 Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Delete channel and click on Delete channel again on the next page.

2:35 You've now deleted your YouTube Channel, but your Google+ account is still there.

2:42 Click on the tab with your Google+ Settings on it and click the Refresh button to update that you've deleted your YouTube Channel.

3:15 Click on Delete page on the notification that comes up.

3:28 Check all the boxes on the next page and click on the red DELETE button.

And that's it, your Channel and Google+ accounts are now deleted.

Go back to your Channel and select Switch Account from the top right dropdown and you'll see that your Channel is now gone.

So that's how you delete those pesky unwanted YouTube Channels from your YouTube account. If you have any questions from this video or anything else on YouTube, please feel free to ask them in the comments on this Channel -
